This is so cute Kelly! I love the soft colors you used. Also the monster is really adorable.

I'm thinking you could use this one for illustration Friday this week. The theme is punchline. Maybe with some playing out with words you can make a know know joke out of it or something. Just a though :o)

Thanks Alicia! If only I were funnier!

Oh sure you can Kelly! It doesn't have to be that hilarious..
Something like.. what do you get when you have a tutu, some lipstick, two bows and blue fur?

answer: an adorable cute little monster :o)

Hee.. hee.. well maybe is not that good after all. I love this illo I really think you should send it :o)

Or what you have there as it is.

What do you do if there is a monster under your bed?

answer, give it a make over!

That's perfect!

I'm so visual that I didn't even read what you wrote in the post. That works :o)

Too funny, both of them. But I LOVE the expression on the top monster and girl. I agree with Alicia, great entry for IF this week.

Thanks Gina, I did the top sketch first and thought maybe it was too cutesy... so I drew it again. So I guess the first was more successful. I'll post it to If later today!

What a great set of drawings. Nice color and emotion.

Nice illustration, and nice little motivational speech, too, if you think about it metaphorically-- how to gain power over your own personal demons. LOVE the expressions, colors, etc. :)

Very cute.

Reminds me of the Bugs Bunny cartoon where he gives the makeover to the monster discussing "iinnnnteresting people".

Tom- That's true! It is like Gossamer... that's one of my favorite cartoons.

HI,

The tu-tu's are very cute!
I love the pose of the girl in the colored one and the look of the monster in the B&W one. The moster is so cute withe tiny eyes and one fang!

The whole concept is so dang cute! I have friends with 4 year old twins, who's imaginations are developing at an alarming rate.

I shall use this concept for when we're over there for bed time...

The usual M.O. is "we want the monster spray"

Simply put, I go in there with an imaginary aerosol can and make the "psssshhhhh" sound under the bed, in the closet, and any other place where a shadow will manifest a variety of scary things.

(my monster spray is not harmful to the ozone layer, by the way..)

feel free and use that as an image idea if you like!
