Today's Doodle - Jedi Jane

I am getting out my red pen and critting the hell
out of myself.
Stay Tuned.
Today's doodle was brought to you by my husband. In a vain attempt to hold on to his Sci-Fi dominance over our child, He told her a mash-up Austen/Star Wars bed time story last night.

As he turned out the light and said "Sweet Dreams".... the 11 year old turned over on her pillow and said, "That was the stupidest thing I have ever heard."

It is- I did this fast tonight waiting for dinner .
It's kinda wonky- her head is too big. This is my 3rd drawing on the Cintiq- I need to get used to this thing! I sit too close/don't zoom out enough I think. I will have to fix this..

For me, this evokes a comment on Jane Austen from Mary Russell Mitford (a contemporary), who said that before the publication of Pride and Prejudice, "(Austen) was no more regarded in society than a poker or a fire screen or any other thin, upright piece of wood or iron that fills its corner in peace and quiet. The case is very different now; she is still a poker, but a poker of whom everyone is afraid." :)

We do, @ 11 years old she still likes them, we'll tell them as long as she wants them... cause it's fun!

Bwaaa haaa haa, love what she said!

Now that illustration did not look wonky at all to me until I saw your critique of your own work and the do-over. Wow, big difference! I never would have known. Which is why I am not an illustrator!
