"Don't stop believin".....

This week, a 41 year old won an Olympic swimming medal. Dana Torres was asked what she would tell her now 2 year old about her Olympic experience - her answer: "Don't put an age limit on your dreams."

This week, this almost 38 year old became an artist for the Walt Disney Company. I will tell my daughter the same thing. And tell all of you too - don't give yourself an expiration date - just keep swimming.....

Here's a sketch I'm working on for the Guster babies- K

Congratulations! I visit your blog regularly. I'm also an almost 38 (ex) Jersyite.

So how was the Disney interview process? Do you have to move? I think an overview of your new position would make a great blog entry! Way to go!

Thanks- for the congrats guys!-I'm playing it a little close to the vest on the Disney business on the blog.I won't be posting the art. I used to do work thru companies that purchased the license from them, and the rules were a little less stringent as a third party. Now - I have to answer to an even higher authority- like Hebrew National. But it's very exciting! I'm happy for me and happy for people being happy for me!

Hey Kelly, what about your work environment, how you communicate with your boss, can you work from home. Stuff like that. Not artwork, just how you do it. Just curious!

That's so excellent, Kelly-- congratulations!

(I was pretty psyched for that 41-year old, too!)

Terry- I am working from home with an occasional L.I. to Fl trip. I'm communicating on the phone/email. I work a lot digitally so- it is an easy way to make/send the art.- you can email me privately-with more questions! I think my mails in my profile?

Jennifer - Thanks! Now when editors and agents say I'm too Disney- I'll just have to say.Yes, yes, I am."!

Congrats and well deserved Kelly, can't wait to have some of your art see the Light of day.
