Draw-ing on my childhood

There was a girl who liked to Roller Disco.
She'd roll around to beats that made her feet go.
Quite the rolla'; could Air chair -n- backwards skate;
Only Mom could get her to brake.
From dawn to dusk she'd shimmy down;
All the streets of Funky Town.

Oh, those yellow and blue gym shorts and matching tube socks. Those were the days! Remember the rainbow laces for your boot skates? Nice work, Mrs. Light.

I'm gonna expand on this. It makes me happy to remember 1979. Kathy- I did have boot skates- after the metal- over the show ones - with metal wheels. I recently found my skate key!! - Mags is afraid to skate- sigh. - ps- my shorts were satin! and my shirt had sequins on top of some kind of polyester weave!!! - I was hottttt! HA!

Ahh, but could you "shoot the duck" and "rex"?

.....or did I just date myself there?

P.S.
My shirts were satin and my pants were WHITE - but by no stretch of the imagination was I "hot" - rather, gangly.
